Corfu, Greece: August 4th

In Corfu Greece, we started off by going to the Achillion Palace.

Just in case you didn't believe us, here is the sign :P

And Yoojin in front of the front gate.

As it turns out, some princess built this palace in honor of Achilles.  No, Achilles did not look like Brad Pitt.

I think Brad Pitt had a better costume no?

Here's Achilles with the famous arrow in his heel.

Here's me standing next to a statue in the courtyard of the palace.

One thing that we noticed about Greece was that they had beautiful beaches.  You can't really tell from this picture, but the water is so clean and clear.  You can see straight down to the bottom.  It made us want to jump right in.

Here's a view of the water :)

Kotor, Montenegro: August 3rd

Alrighty then, here we are in Kotor, Montenegro :)

We took this twisty road up a couple thousand feet above sea level.  The road had something like 25 hairpin curves that were carved into the mountain.  If you're not impressed, you should be.  Every one of those 25 hairpin curves are done by a big huge tourist bus!  But, enough talking! Onto the  pictures!

Here we are at the top of the mountain looking down.

They also provided us with another snack

They also gave us this drink they called "Honey wine" but it wasn't alcoholic at all.  It tasted like water with honey diluted into it :)

We found these two dolls all over the place in Montenegro for some reason.  Yoojin decided to take a picture with one of them.

Here I am posing for a picture... in front of a picture :)

Me and a old Triton

Here's Yoojin steering the ship

But everyone knows, a man must steer the ship in any family Muhahaha!

Apparently, this was a famous church dedicated to someone I forget the name of :P

Split, Croatia: August 2nd

We didn't really know what to expect in Split, Croatia especially since just ten years ago, it was threatened by the war in the former Yugoslavia, but it was really a beautiful country.

Here we are on the bus on the way towards the Croatian countryside.

Apparently, Croatian people were known for their singing and so there they were, singing. Actually they were really good. It was kind of nice to be outdoors, having a snack and listening to folk songs, even if we didn't understand what they were saying.

Here's a pic of the prosciutto and cheese that they fed us. I would like to say that it was really good, but it was really way to salty for our palettes.

Here's Yoojin about to enjoy her snack.

And the mineral water that they gave us to drink. I'm not sure why we felt like we needed to take a picture of this, but we did.

There was this nice water mill that seemed like a good place to take a picture next to.

Afterwards, we went into town to see Diocletian's palace. There were some Roman Soldiers still there guarding the place :)

I'm not sure who this is a statue of, but I was inspired to strike a pose.

Here's Yoojin standing next to what I believe is the Eastern Gate (a.k.a. "Silver Gate") of the palace.

And finally, here's Yoojin posing for a picture in the promenade in front of the palace.

Ravenna, Italy: August 1st

After Venice, the first city we stopped by was the home town of the man, the legend...

Feruccio Lamborghini

Enough said.

Actually, I'm much more of a Ferrari fan, but it was fun to see some famous supercars nonetheless. Here's Yoojin standing next to one of the older models. No, I don't know the name of this particular one.

Here's me standing next to one of the huge v-12 engines that Lamborghini was famous for.

I'm not sure what this one is called either. I want to say Diablo, but don't quote me on that.

Here's Yoojin standing next to what I believe is a Murcielago.

Afterwards, I thought I'd pick up the car Yoojin was just standing next to for fun and to impress my new wife...

But as usual, she upstaged me :)

We also went to the Ferrari factory, but our camera ran out of batteries! Boo! :( But we were able to take at least two pictures of us in Ferrari helmets. Here's Yoojin looking really cute in hers.

Needless to say, it didn't fit my head perfectly :P

All in all, this tour was really fun. After drooling over supercars all day, I didn't really want to leave, but alas, we had to head towards our next destination: Split, Croatia :)

Venice, Italy: July 31st

Well folks, this is Venice. Because our boat was docked at Venice for the start of our trip, we took a water taxi to St. Mark's square, and boy were we excited :)

I had all these thoughts in my head of reliving scenes from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but my fantasies were crushed when we got off the taxi and saw this picture above. Crowds and crowds of people with no one single fedora or bullwhip in sight. Not even any guys with fumanchu mustaches and red fez caps on their heads :(

Since we were in Italy, one thing we really wanted to try was their Gelato. Good thing that one of the first things we saw once we got off the boat was a gelato stand.

Here's me enjoying my pistachio and strawberry flavored gelato.

And Yoojin enjoying hers :)

Here's me watching a man painting on a street corner. I don't know what he was drawing but the man knew how to draw really straight lines with his paintbrush. It was amazing.

Here I am posing in front of St. Mark's Square. Yes, those are Crocs on my feet. Yes, I look like a dork, but they sure are comfortable.

I told Yoojin to pose and this is what she gave me :)

Yoojin posing in front of one of Venice's famous canals with Gondola's passing by in the background. We were thinking about riding one ourselves, but you would not believe the crowds of people waiting to catch a ride, so we passed on it.

Here's another picture of me and Yoojin posing in front of some church at St. Mark's Square.

Afterwards, we got back to our boat and we stood on the deck as the boat was taking off. It was actually really romantic to stand on the deck of the ship and watch Venice pass by in the twilight. Too bad we fell asleep part way through it :P

Departure and Arrival

Hello Everyone!

Sorry that the picture thing didn't work out. We had originally planned on uploading our pictures every day, but the internet connection was painfully slow and expensive. But, now we're back and jet-lagged like crazy. As promised, we're posting up pictures, but since we took a LOT of pictures (probably close to a thousand), we're only going to put up a few for each day that we were on the trip. Here's some of our journey towards our honeymoon :)

Here's Me and Yoojin on the plane. We had the mega-legroom emergency seats :) Not exactly first class, but it was great.

Here we are in the Venice airport waiting for our luggage. It was funny because the luggage carousel was painted to look like a giant roulette table.

Here's Yoojin filling out our emergency card before boarding the ship.

As you can see, Yoojin was clearly excited about our room...

... as was I :)

Here's a picture of the top deck of our ship with the pool and the Jacuzzi's. Yes, the pool is not filled yet.

The ship even had this little golf chipping thing. Here's a picture of me and my nasty swing :(

So, that was the exciting arrival on our honeymoon. Next, on to Venice!
